Jonathan Cook

Ryan our producer met John on the corner of Lombard and I-895 interchange by Johns Hopkins Bayview. Ryan was in the turn lane to go home after a long day at work and a pickup truck in front of him stopped and stole John's cooler. John was not on the corner at the time but Ryan had seen him there many times. So friendly and always waving. Who would do such a thing Ryan thought to himself. That evening after a conversation with his wife Ryan grabbed a cooler and some waters and the next day approached John. He was overwhelmed with joy and appreciation. They hugged and John proceed to the corner to sell waters. This was the beginning to a long friendship.
